Greetings to all those who read this message and log on to our website for whatever reason. It might be because you are a Salvationist or because you are interested in the Salvation Army or simply because you have hit us by mistake. We have had more than a few past acquaintances who having logged on have then gone on to enquire as to if we were the Benneyworths they knew or met some years ago. Well for whatever reason you find us here, we wish you welcome.

Hopefully, you will realise immediately that this is a Christian website and above anything else that you might discover here, we hope and pray that a visit might help you in your faith and spiritual journey.

We guess that many people feel pretty insignificant and powerless, with many external influences controlling and dictating our lives. Many are uncertain concerning their financial, work and home situations. Even those in full time employment have not had a rise in several years, while the rising cost of living continues to eat at our finances. It would appear that the rich get richer while the poor get poorer.

It would seem that the world in which we live is not going to do too much for us and if you feel like this, we would suggest that in God our weakness and vulnerability can be turned to strength.

In the Bible we find these words

“My gracious favour is all you need. My power works in best in your weakness.”

2 Cor. 12:8 (NLT)

Metropolitan Anthony of Sourozh in his book - School for Prayer says:-

“You remember how you were taught to write when you were small. Your mother put the pencil in your hand, took your hand in hers and began to move it. Since you did not know at all what she meant to do, you left your hand completely in hers. This is what I mean by the power of God being manifest in weakness.”

We live in a world where it is not fashionable to admit we have a weakness but most folk do. Might we suggest that letting go and letting God have a chance in your life would allow Him to not only reveal His power but do something wonderful for you.

Have a good day and may you know His peace and blessing.
